Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Russell Honea , I live in Wagoner, OK about 30 minutes east of Tulsa, with my wife Patty. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
I have been a licensed broker now for over 10 years. Like many agents I started out working for what is know as a captive agency. The problem with a captive agency is that you basically have a single company and only their products.
The goal is to somehow take their specific product line and make it fit the needs of all clients. Just in case you were wondering, Not Possible!
On several occasions, I walked away from a client knowing that there was probably a better product with less tradeoffs that would have better met their overall goals.
These interactions gave me a feeling early on that I was not providing a service that was always in the best interest of the client.
